The Cross-Country Morgan 3-Wheeler Is Ready. Will it Make It?

Alex Roy's LiveDriveRepeat - Morgan 3-Wheeler

Word is out that a cross-country record attempt will occur in my 2013 Morgan 3-wheeler. The run will be categorized according to its uniqueness, which means records in multiple categories, bravery being one of them. The vehicle is as prepped as it could possibly be. The skeptics are out on the run being completed without a major issue. What’s the over/under on success? Will it make it? Continue reading

Alex Roy's LiveDriveRepeat

Two Sundays ago I was invited by EV Cannonball Record holders Carl Reese & Deena Mastracci to a little place called the Portofino Inn. This was the finish line for several of the infamous Cannonball Runs. On October 18th, 2015, it would become the start line of something new.  Continue reading

TEDx: In Defense of Human Driving Freedom

5 Oct

IMG_5730

My TEDx talk in defense of human driving freedom “Vigilante of the Human Driver” was a huge hit. Unfortunately you won’t be able to watch it for a few weeks. Why? Because the livestream I was hoping to cache had an audio problem, and because the official TEDx video won’t be made available by TED for a few weeks.

Thanks to TEDx Battenkill organizer Michael Ellenbogen and everyone who came out, especially Polizei team members Cintra Wilson and Jordan Vega.

I’ll notify everyone here and via Twitter and Facebook as soon as I’ve got a video link.

Enjoy.

Want To See Alex Roy Speak @ SXSW?

6 Sep

Alex Roy
I need your help. Hot on the heels of my appearance on Futurist HeatherVescent’s Podcast “The Future of Cars and the Open Road”, she invited me to her panel @ the 2016 SXSW.

For that to happen, we need your vote.

The panel is called “The Automotive Singularity is Not Near.” In order for it to be approved, we need votes, which means signing in and voting, which should take all of 15 seconds. Today is the last day of voting, and of course, in a democratic system, every vote counts. I hope.

We’ll be joined by Envisioneering Founder, Technologist, Cannonball Run veteran & U.S. Express organizer Rick Doherty, and former Jalop and Auto tech genius Damon Lavrinc. For a taste of what Heather and I discussed last month, here’s the podcast…
